The firm

Big Four discipline. Boutique engagements. Remote by design.

Empower Capital Tax Advisors is a credentialed practice — Enrolled Agents, CPA, and Attorney on staff — built to do what large firms won't and what solo preparers can't: high-credential tax work delivered directly, flat-fee, in every state.

Why the firm exists

The American tax system is complex enough that most people either outgrow their preparer or underpay someone who isn't licensed to represent them when a notice arrives. We started Empower Capital to close that gap — a practice that reads your full picture the way a family office would, delivered on a client portal, for a fee you see before we start.

Every engagement runs under Circular 230 and IRC §7216. Every return is second-partner reviewed. Every notice is answered by the same credentialed professional who filed the return. That last point is where most firms fall apart; it's where we begin.

The team

Three credentials. One accountable team.

Enrolled Agents

Federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service in all matters, in all 50 states, under the governance of Circular 230. Unlimited practice rights — audit, collections, appeals.

CPA

Licensed CPA on staff for audit-adjacent engagements, attest coordination, and work that crosses state-licensure lines. Review discipline from Big Four training.

Attorney

Licensed attorney leads IRS & state representation, privacy and §7216 compliance, entity structuring, and the firm's most complex controversy work.

Background depth includes Ernst & Young, PwC, and single-family-office practice. Publicly verifiable on the IRS Enrolled Agent registry and Marquis Who's Who.

How we practice

Four commitments we hold to.

1. Credential first

Only federally licensed practitioners sign returns and represent taxpayers. We never outsource to unlicensed preparers or offshore teams. You will always know the credential and jurisdiction of the person working your file.

2. Flat-fee, quoted up front

Every engagement is scoped and priced before we begin. If the scope changes, we requote before proceeding. No surprise invoices for "research time."

3. Workpapers, always

Every position is backed by workpapers that cite IRS authority. If the return is ever questioned, the defense is already in the file. This is Big Four muscle memory we refuse to give up.

4. Plain English, always

We write like people who have to explain tax to actual people. No jargon. No "please advise." If we can't explain why a position is right on a 15-minute call, it isn't a position worth taking.
