Send someone our way. We'll take 10% off your next invoice.
For every client you refer to Empower Capital, 10% of their first-year fees comes back to you as a credit on your own account. Credits roll forward and never expire while you're a client.
Three steps, one credit.
1. They mention your name
The person books a free 15-minute call at empowercapital.co/book or emails samuel@empowercapital.co, and writes "Referred by [your name]" in the booking notes.
2. They engage and pay
If they sign an engagement letter and pay their first-year invoice, you earn a credit equal to 10% of what they paid.
3. Your next invoice is smaller
The credit is applied automatically to your next Empower Capital invoice, within 30 days of their payment. Unused credits carry forward.
10%
of your referral's paid first-year fees, credited to your account.
$750 minimum
The referred engagement must total at least $750 in first-year fees to qualify.
3+ referrals
in a calendar year unlocks Ambassador status: credits beyond your own fees are paid in cash.
The referrals that fit.
Crypto and digital-asset activity (Form 1099-DA reporting arrives next filing season), complex capital gains and equity compensation, multi-state situations, S-corp and founder planning, and IRS notices people would rather not handle alone.
Common questions.
Will you tell me when someone I referred signs up?
Only if they authorize it. Federal law (IRC §7216) prohibits us from confirming whether a person has engaged us without their written consent. In most cases, the first you'll hear of it is the credit on your invoice.
What is the Ambassador tier?
If three or more of your referrals qualify in a single calendar year, any referral credits that exceed the fees you were invoiced for that year are paid to you in cash by January 31 of the following year. Cash payments are income to you, and we'll need a Form W-9 before paying.
Can I combine this with other discounts?
No. Referral credits don't combine with the hardship discount, promotional pricing, or any other credit or discount.
Does the credit continue in later years?
No. Credits are earned on the referred client's first-year fees only.
Can I share someone's contact details with you?
Only with their permission. The best approach is to give them our contact details and ask them to name you when they reach out.
Client Referral Program terms.
Effective November 1, 2026. Empower Capital Tax Advisors LLC ("Empower Capital," "we," "us") offers this Client Referral Program (the "Program") to thank clients who introduce new clients to the firm. By participating, you agree to the terms below.
1. Who can participate
- You are eligible if you are a current Empower Capital client with a signed engagement letter and no past-due balance at the time the referral credit is issued.
2. What counts as a qualifying referral
- A referral qualifies when all of the following are true: (a) the referred person or business has not previously engaged Empower Capital and is not already in active discussions with us; (b) the referred person names you when they first contact us (for example, in the booking notes); (c) the referred person signs an Empower Capital engagement letter; (d) the referred person pays their first-year invoice(s) in full; and (e) the referred engagement totals at least $750 in first-year fees.
- Only one referrer may be credited for any new client. The information provided at first contact controls attribution. Referrals cannot be claimed after a person has already contacted us.
- Empower Capital may decline any prospective client for any reason, including conflicts of interest or scope. A declined prospect is not a qualifying referral.
3. Your reward
- For each qualifying referral, you earn a referral credit equal to 10% of the fees the referred client actually pays Empower Capital during their first twelve months as a client.
- Credits are issued to your Empower Capital account within 30 days after the referred client's payment and are applied automatically to your next invoice. Unused credits carry forward and remain available for as long as you are an active client.
- Referral credits are a reduction in the price of our services to you. They have no cash value and are not transferable, except as provided in the Ambassador tier below.
4. Ambassador tier
- If three or more of your referrals qualify in a single calendar year, you reach Ambassador status for that year.
- As an Ambassador, any referral credits that exceed the total fees you were invoiced for that calendar year are paid to you in cash by January 31 of the following year. You may instead choose to keep the excess as account credit.
- Cash payments are income to you. Where required, Empower Capital will issue a Form 1099 and will need a completed Form W-9 from you before any cash payment is made.
5. What the Program does not include
- Referral credits do not combine with the hardship discount, promotional pricing, or any other credit or discount.
- Credits are earned on first-year fees only. There is no credit on a referred client's renewals, additional projects, or later years.
- Credits are not earned on your own engagements, on engagements for your spouse, or on any entity you own or control.
6. Confidentiality
- Empower Capital is bound by federal law (IRC §7216) and professional standards to protect every client's information. We will not tell you whether a person you referred has contacted us, engaged us, or what services they receive, unless that person has separately authorized us in writing to confirm the referral to you. In most cases, the only confirmation you will receive is the credit on your invoice.
- Please share a prospective client's contact information with us only with their permission. The best approach is to give them our contact details and ask them to name you when they reach out.
7. How to refer
- Tell the person to book a call at empowercapital.co or email samuel@empowercapital.co and to name you as the person who referred them.
- You may describe Empower Capital's services accurately to people you know. You may not advertise Empower Capital publicly, create web pages or paid promotions, imply that you are employed by or affiliated with the firm, or make any claim about results, refunds, or tax outcomes.
8. Changes and termination
- Empower Capital may modify or end the Program at any time with 30 days' notice. Credits already earned will be honored under the terms in effect when they were earned.
- Empower Capital may remove a participant from the Program for misuse, including misleading statements to prospective clients or disputes over attribution. Credits earned before removal remain valid.
9. General
- Participation in the Program does not create any agency, employment, or partnership relationship with Empower Capital. Nothing in the Program is tax, legal, or financial advice to you or to any person you refer. The Program is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
